FROM THE SHOP

I had a couple of commissions lined up for the summer of 2025, but when both of them backed out, I decided to work on my Octave Mandolin rather than pull up the next pair of customers. Over the previous winter, I had designed an octave mandolin based on the lovely Gibson L-O. I wasn't thinking I would get to it this year, but I'm excited to have it on the bench! I'm also helping Ryan build a claro walnut Michigan. He is coming down from Toronto a couple of times over the summer to work on it. We won't get it done this year, but we will make some progress.
